The original Hixon jacket was first released in 2016 and was a staple of the Merlin collection for many years. As part of the Hixon refresh they have kept the well-received super soft and supple leather and added in a number of new improvements. The first of these upgrades includes D3O armour which sits in the shoulders and elbows. The Hixon II leather jacket has a revised fit with a slightly longer length, new design details and crucially includes more ventilation - with three back vents and two chest ventilation points added.
Because of the ‘naked’ leather finish of Hixon II, we would recommend purchasing an aniline leather cleaner and an aniline leather guard. You can also buy aniline moisturiser to restore moisture to the Hixon at longer intervals. Please test any new cleaners on an inconspicuous area of the jacket first.
