The lens incorporates a specially formulated warm-coloured tint that reduces uncomfortable stray flat light, minimising glare and improving visual comfort without compromising colour accuracy. By brightening shadowed areas while filtering harmful UV rays and excessive brightness in direct sunlight, the shield creates a more balanced visual field and neutralises disruptive colour variations—resulting in a clearer, more accurate view of the road.
Manufactured from high-quality, impact-resistant polycarbonate, the injection-moulded shield ensures zero visual distortion and exceptional durability. Its precisely engineered geometry is designed to focus light accurately onto the retina, reducing the need for constant ocular adjustment when shifting gaze or changing viewing angles. This optimised optical alignment enhances depth perception, maintains consistent clarity, and allows the eyes to remain more relaxed—significantly reducing fatigue during extended use.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This shield is the Gen 2 (.02) (AFHS-02) version, the same as the standard shield used on the S-R7 helmets therefore, when installing them on an S-R10 helmet, the corresponding Gen2 tear-offs (S-02 Tear Off Set 8952425) and Gen 2 Pinlock® lenses (8952525) if used, are required.
