The Mid Layer helps the body regulate its temperatures, by trapping body heat between the skin and the mid layer. This acts as climate control - cooling the body when it is too hot and insulating when it is too cold. Mid layer products comprise three separate layers: an insulating fleece lining, a windproof and breathable membrane and a comfortable outer shell. These three layers create one mid layer garment that optimally controlls body temperature in moderate-to-cold conditions.
